The technology behind the drive
With Nissan’s third-generation e-POWER system, the gasoline engine produces electricity while electric motors drive the wheels. There’s no plug to connect and no conventional transmission shifting through gears. Just responsive, electric-motor acceleration with no plug-in charging required.
