Red 2026 Nissan Rogue Hybrid

Nissan is making a bold move with the 2026 Rogue Plug‑In Hybrid— the brand’s first PHEV SUV for the U.S. market. It blends efficient electric driving with dependable gasoline performance, making it a smart choice for drivers who want the best of both worlds.

“The Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is an important step in Nissan’s electrification roadmap. It delivers the convenience of all-electric, zero emission driving for everyday commutes while maintaining the long-range driving benefits of a gasoline engine. This dual capability reflects Nissan’s commitment to meeting customers’ needs to enjoy the upside of having both an EV and a traditional SUV in a single vehicle which will prepare our customers for a more fully electrified future,” said Ponz Pandikuthira, senior vice president and chief product officer, Nissan Americas. “Introducing our first plug-in hybrid in the U.S. reinforces our Nissan business strategy to revitalize the product portfolio and expand market coverage.”

What Powers It

  • Under the hood, the Rogue PHEV uses a 2.4‑liter gasoline engine paired with two electric motors, drawing from tech developed by Nissan’s alliance partner Mitsubishi.

  • Driving range is impressive: 38 miles of pure-electric cruising, with a total estimated range of 420 miles when using both gas and electric power.

Charging & Efficiency

  • The 20 kWh battery can be fully recharged in about 7.5 hours using a Level 2 home charger.

  • Fuel economy is rated at 64 MPGe when using electric power and about 26 mpg when running solely on gas.
  • There are two regenerative braking modes, including an e‑Step one-pedal driving function that maximizes energy recovery.

Design & Features

  • It comes in two trims: SL and Platinum

  • Inside, you’ll find modern tech features including a 9-inch touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital driver display, and wireless Apple CarPlay (plus wired Android Auto).
